Northam Aquatic Centre

​Designed to reinvigorate Northam’s sport precinct, the new $6.2 million Northam Aquatic Centre was completed in early 2020.

Commercial Aquatics were engaged to undertake the construction of the new concrete and tile 50 metre pool, complete with access ramp, extended 2 metre depth section to facilitate full size water polo field. The new concrete and tile leisure pool features multiple zones including a lap section, beach entry leisure, separate beach entry toddler’s pool, Learn to Swim and a shaded 300mm depth water play area.

There are three separate filtration systems, 50m, Leisure pool and the Toddler’s pool which comprise traditional sand filtration with chlorine gas disinfection. A combination of solar and gas heating systems has been designed, complete with pool blankets.
