Yeronga Park Water Polo Pool

To suit the growing needs of the South-East Queensland water polo community, Yeronga Park Swimming Pool elected to construct a cost-effective water polo training pool which doubles as a functional lap pool. 26m in length and 25m in width, this pool feature 15 x 25m lanes as well as a full depth water polo field and a shallower end for LTS training. A disabled access ramp provides all patrons with safe access to the pool, and the pool is serviced by a high-rate commercial sand filtration system, calcium hypochlorite dosing and high-efficiency heat-pump heating.

Scope of Works

• Develop the pool layout in conjunction with the pool builder and facility operator to produce an effective, functional yet cost-effective solution suitable for water polo and lap swimming.
• Design and document water treatment systems for the pool including commercial-grade high-rate sand filtration and circulation system.
• Design and document of pool plumbing and circulation systems.
• Construction supervision and assistance.
