Aquatic One recognize the importance of our corporate social responsibility to local and global communities. As such, we are joining forces with our colleagues in The Perkins Group of Companies and are partnering with The Tabitha Foundation. In October 2018, we will be sending a group of 10 staff to Cambodia to participate in their House Building Program.

In Australia, we are extremely fortunate to have access to clean water, education and job opportunities for all. In Cambodia, they are not so fortunate; where one in five live below the international poverty line.

The Tabitha Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a mission to enable the poorest of the poor in to recognise and develop inherent skills and resources in a way that brings dignity and respect within the people and their country; resulting in measureable and visible improvements in the lifestyles of the people they work with.

Tabitha run a variety of programs including the Family Savings Program designed to assist families with saving for goals and the program Perkins is participating in; the Housebuilding Program. For families to be selected in this program they need to save and contribute $25 USD; this is a may not seem like a lot, but when the average yearly wage is $950 a year it is a significant cost. These families represent the poorest in their communities as well as being role models for their courage and faith in their own ability to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.

Since their foundation in 1994 the Tabitha Foundation have reached out to over half a million people, working directly with over 30,000 families in Cambodia through their high impact community development programs. The Perkins Group are proud to be able to assist and be associated with the invaluable work of the Tabitha Foundation.
